The Steps Leading up to NuFlow Lining
At Bob Oates Plumbing, Sewer & Rooter, we don’t waste any time with excavation or speculation. When we arrive on your property, we conduct an inspection to determine not only what the problem is but the extent of the damage as well. The information we glean from this inspection is incredibly valuable, as it allows us to make a careful decision and recommend the best solution based on facts instead of guesswork.
If our experts recommend NuFlow lining as the answer, we will thoroughly clean the pipes of any problematic waste deposits or clogs. The water is ejected into the pipe with a hose and specialized nozzle that redirects the water to spray the entire diameter of the pipe, pulverizing tree roots and safely washing away debris down the pipe. This attention to detail and a high-quality cleaning session ensures that the NuFlow liner that we install will adhere properly and be done correctly during our first visit.
The NuFlow Lining Solution
With NuFlow lining, we are able to rehabilitate the pipes from the inside, saving our customers thousands of dollars in repairs and weeks of excavation. The technology is versatile and allows us to fix a wide range of pipeline material types and diameter sizes. This allows us to repair clay, cast iron, Orangeburg, PVC, and other pipeline materials efficiently and at any size, ensuring that we are always prepared for any situation.
The liner is inserted directly into the pipe through a small entry point and positioned to fix the needed areas of damage. The liner is cut and measured based on this information, allowing us to potentially fix entire pipelines or small portions of it if need be. Our technicians will expand the liner with an artificial bladder that inflates it and forces it to match the shape of the host pipe. The pressure of the expansion allows the epoxy resin to evenly coat the inside of the pipe and fill in leaks and cracks. After the resin is applied, we remove the liner and allow the resin to harden. The typical curing process requires a few hours of time to finish, sealing away cracks and leaks inside of the old pipe while creating a new pipe liner to adhere to it. Once the hardening process is complete, the epoxy liner acts as the new pipe and has an expected lifespan of at least 50 years or more.
